Building a path for young Indigenous professionals to enter a more Indigenized workplace

In partnership with the Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation, ITP has established the Indigenous Treaty Partners L’nu Scholarship Fund. Indigenous Treaty Partners (ITP) is committed to supporting Indigenous communities through capacity building and mentorship. The ITP L’nu Scholarship is another step in that direction.

For every organization that successfully completes ITP training or hires for support, 5% of sales will be donated to the ITP L’nu Scholarship Fund. This fund is designed to support indigenous youth pursuing academic studies in commerce or who have made substantial efforts in creating their own business.

The ITP Scholarship Fund is managed in partnership with the Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation. Ulnooweg operates as an extension of the communities, uniquely stewarding their needs and supporting their business leaders and entrepreneurs. We are all one team working together towards a vision of self-sustaining, healthy communities.

The Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation is a registered charity that will help strengthen the relationships between Canada’s philanthropic sector and the First Nations communities of Atlantic Canada.

Donate to the ITP Scholarship Fund.

Beyond the 5% of profits that is directly donated to the scholarship fund from ITP, all organizations have the opportunity and are invited to donate additional support to the ITP fund. Regardless if an organization has been hired, partnered or worked with ITP, the Partners encourage all businesses to donate and support Indigenous youth in accessing quality education. Where appropriate, the Foundation will issue official tax receipts, valid for income tax purposes.

EfficiencyOne Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples

This scholarship is open to part and full-time students who will be enrolling in their first year of post-secondary education (university or college) in engineering or environmental-science related programs, including Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) programs such as Electrical Technician, Energy Sustainability Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology, and other energy-related or business administration programs focusing on finance, marketing, human resources, or similar fields.

Scholarship Amount: $2,500

Energize a Sustainable World Scholarship

Ameresco, in partnership with Indigenous Treaty Partners, is offering a $5,000 scholarship opportunity. This scholarship is open to Indigenous students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education, such as college or university, and are intrested in studying engineering or science. Preference will be given to applicants who meet certain criteria.

  • Are First Nations, Inuit or Métis studying locally or abroad,

  • Enrolled in engineering or science-related faculty; and,

  • Show an interest in clean energy.

ITP L’nu Scholarship

The Treaty Partners invite all currently enrolled Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary (college or university) education to apply for the ITP Scholarship. Preference will be given to those who:

  • Are Mi’kmaw, studying locally or abroad; or,

  • Are Indigenous and attending an Atlantic Canadian post-secondary institution.

Barrington Consulting Scholarship

Barrington Consulting and the Indigenous Treaty Partners invite all currently enrolled Indigenous students in Atlantic Canada pursuing post-secondary (college or university) to apply for this Scholarship valued at $2,500.

Health Association Nova Scotia Scholarship

Health Association Nova Scotia and the Indigenous Treaty Partners invite all currently enrolled Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary (college or university) to apply for this Scholarship valued at $2,500.
